A sudden scuffle with someone believed to be a UFC fighter caused Russian MMA village monument Sergei Kharitonov to be hospitalized.

The incident was recorded on the sidelines of an event held at the Luzhniki World Cup Stadium, Moscow, Russia on November 13 local time.

According to sources and recorded video, Sergei Kharitonov – monument of Russian MMA village has argued with someone who is believed to be a boxer playing at UFC aadam Yandiev.

The quarrel situation led to Yandiev suddenly attacked, knocking Kharitonov down to the floor before continuing to assault the 40-year-old general. Only with the intervention of security agents and those nearby that the attack was stopped.

After the incident, Sergei Kharitonov is believed to have suffered a broken nose and brain shock, and injured his right eye when he was taken to the hospital.

Reflecting on the case, Kharitonov’s lawyer, Alexander Kravstov, said the Russian general was in “very bad” condition.

“We will give notice as soon as possible and law enforcement agencies will make a decision on this case soon.” – Attorney Kravstov said.

Sergei Khartionov (32 wins – 8 loses MMA, 7-4 Kickboxing) is a very famous martial artist in the Russian martial arts industry when he appeared in many prestigious arenas such as PRIDE, M-1 or Bellator.

In 2020, the 40-year-old general has just won 3 knockout matches: 2 on the MMA floor, 1 on the Boxing floor. In September, Kharitonov launched the Boxing floor with a knockout strike against Danny Williams, he also impressed with the pitch with a bear that made the audience excited.

Most recently, on November 7, at the MFP Parus Fight Championship, Kharitonov won the championship title when defeating rival Oli Thompson.

As for Adam Yandiev, a boxer born in 1988 is considered one of the most controversial contracts of the UFC recently.

Adam Yandiev is one of the names that caused questioning when joining the UFC. The puncher nicknamed “Beard” stopped his career at the Russian MMA M-1 since 2015 with a record of 9 victories.

After 3 years of absence, Yandiev was suddenly signed by the UFC in 2018 and lost the first match against Jordan Johnson. Since then, the UFC has not added a single matchup to this fighter.
