UFC 244, led by a Welterweight matchup between Nate Diaz vs Jorge Masvidal in New York, will mark the 500th time UFC has produced a live broadcast.

Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz will be the two main protagonists of UFC 244 – the 500th live event of UFC in history, at Madison Square Garden Arena in New York City, USA. This event will be broadcast live on ESPN +, Fox Sports on Sunday morning. Two other stars, Darren Till and Kelvin Gastelum will also be present in the co-main event.

One of the UFC’s most popular athletes, Diaz’s brother Nate Diaz (November 21) returned after three years off the ring in August, with a thrilling victory over Anthony Pettis. Although best known as the first boxer to make Conor McGregor lose at the UFC, Nate Diaz has in fact shown himself in well-worth watching games with Michael Johnson, Gray Maynard, Jim Miller and Takanori Gomi.

At the moment, Nate Diaz does not seem to have the intention of competing at the top. Perhaps challenging matches and new money are his goal.

Received the love of many fans, Jorge Masvidal (34-13) owned the fastest KO win in UFC history after performing a stunning flying pillow, ending the match in just 5 seconds before champion Bellator – ONE Championship Ben Askren. Masvidal also had top fights against Darren Till, Donald Cerrone, Jake Ellenberger and Cezar Ferreira, so it is not surprising that a lot of spectators are expecting Masvidal to have another KO / TKO win.

Marking the 500th time that a live event is held, UFC promises to “match” the most intense matches. The remaining notable matches at UFC 244 include:

  • Kelvin Gastelum (16-4) vs Darren Till (17-2-1)
